Content : 24-item self-report measure that evaluates maladaptive beliefs about and emotional attachment to possessions.It is made up of four subscales: emotional attachment, control, responsibility, and memory.Each item on the SCI represents a thought associated with one of the subscales.
Participants are asked to rate the extent to which they had each thought when deciding whether or not to discard something in the past week, from 1 (not at all) to 7 (very much).
